"I take ‘before’ photographs and again once your design is agreed on. I’ll discuss your wishes and concerns for the procedure before the tattooing commences. This Includes measuring and hand drawing your unique shape. Personalized colour matching ensures that each clients skin, facial shape, hair tones and style preferences are met".
Anaesthetic, ordered and purchased by you $20 (aprox) from 'National Custom Compounding' Gooding Drive Merrimac 1300 731 755 (law forbids me from supplying to you) is applied before your procedure to numb the skin from start to finish. It may feel like a scratching sensation; however, the anaesthetic will make this short-lived.
When the procedure is completed, I will take an 'after' photo and will supply and apply Medicone Gel aftercare cream and provide you with further at home aftercare instructions. (it is very important to closely follow the Post Procedure instructions as colour retention depends on correct aftercare) A follow-up appointment 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure is recommended, so that I can check the shape and colour, and take care of any alterations if required (a 'tray fee' is charged if alterations are needed)
Skin type, lifestyle, skin care, hormones, aftercare and other contributing factors can differ individual client retention results. A one to two year refresh is recommended. We offer discounts for our client’s return future visits to maintain their cosmetic tattooing for years to come.
Looking forward to making your life easier and improving your features with modern cosmetic tattoo and SMP procedures.
Regards Susan

Before your procedure please read the 'Contra Indicators' and 'Special Precautions' below, to see if you are a suitable candidate for PMU. PREPERATION- One week prior, start exfoliating (every second day) and hydrating your skin, especially on the area to be tattooed ie, brows or lips. This removes any dry skin, making the implantation of pigment and colour retention better.
If you have EVER had Cold Sores or Mouth Ulcers, lip tattooing aggravates this condition and may cause an outbreak. It is essential you consult with your GP prior to treatment and get a script for Anti –Viral Medication. Some of these medications need to be taken prior to and after your treatment. ALLERGY EYES - taking an antihistamine prior to your procedure may lessen the swelling effect, dry up your tears and make the insertion of pigment easier for the technician.
Note: Rates are subject to change and are non-negotiable
PRE PROCEDURE
Allergy suffers: Why take an antihistamine prior to your procedure?
1. The antihistamine may dry up your tears making your eyeliner procedure easier for the technician.
2. The antihistamine may lessen the swelling effect on the procedure area making the insertion of pigment easier for the technician.

POST PROCEDURE
IMMEDIATE CARE:
* An ice pack wrapped in a towel can be patted to the treated area for 2-3 minutes (can apply multiple times) This will help reduce any swelling and aids with healing
* No soaps, cleansing creams or chemicals may be applied for the first 5 days.
* Gently clean with a damp cotton square.
* Absolutely NO glycolic or AHA skin care to be used. This will remove colour from your tattoo.
* Avoid direct Sun exposure of the treated area or intense physical activities that make you sweat (ie gym, exercise, yoga, swimming etc) for the next 24 hours
FOR THE NEXT 5 DAYS:
Apply Aftercare cream at least twice daily after cleaning the area and at bedtime (Lips more often 4 times plus daily - KEEP THE AREA MOIST) This is especially important.
* Do not use paw paw ointment on any tattoo areas
* Do not scratch, or rub the treated area. If crusting is noticed, do not pick at it as this can lead to scarring and loss of pigment.
* Please do not go swimming for at least 10 days following treatment.
* Do not wear makeup on area for one week following treatments as this may affect tattoo pigment.
* Do not have laser or facial treatments until cosmetic tattoo site has finished healing (6-8 weeks) Always inform Laser technician that you have a cosmetic tattoo.

FAILURE TO FOLLOW POST PROCEDURE INSTRUCTION MAY CAUSE LOSS OF PIGMENT OR DISCOLOURATION
Remember Colours will appear brighter and more sharply defined immediately after the procedure. As the healing progresses, colour will soften. An appointment for a review should be made 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure, where any adjustments may be made. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at any time: cosmetic.tattoo.susan@gmail.com
· frequent smokers - that increased bleeding may occur during the procedure as well as a faster fade of the pigment over time.
· oily skin types should acknowledge that cosmetic eyebrow tattooing will not work well as the constant oil production will gradually soften the look
· If you have a skin condition like eczema, psoriasis, keratosis pilaris and dermatitis your skin is in a constant state of unrest and shedding and therefore won’t hold the pigment very well.
· The same goes for conditions like chronic acne and rosacea. The inherent nature of this type of skin causes easy bleeding, which once again means your skin will not retain the colour properly.
· Deep wrinkles can make the overall look appear uneven. Hair/feather stroke style is not recommended for these clients.
· Accutane/Retin-A - The procedure cannot be performed whilst on Accutane. If you have been taking acne medications such as Accutane or Retin-A within the last year you have an altered skin condition that will not heal well after the procedure. It’s very important that you wait 12 months before tattooing the skin.
· Diabetics aren’t good candidates either. Diabetic clients who are insulin dependent often do not heal as well and may be at a heightened risk for infection.
· Restasis - an Ophthalmic Emulsion help increase your eyes’ natural ability to produce tears. Those who use it have increased sensitivity of the eyelid to the point that a permanent cosmetic eyeliner procedure is not well tolerated. Your technician may want you to discontinue use for 30 days before doing the tattoo procedure.
· Latisse - Eyelash and eyebrow growth serums bring extra circulation to the area which results in more growth of hair/lashes. This can cause the skin in that area to be hypersensitive and bleed easily. It is recommended to discontinue the use of these products at least 3-6 months before your treatment.
· Thyroid medication - Clients on thyroid medications often need permanent cosmetic procedures re-enhanced a little more frequently. We have noticed that for whatever reason their colour fades a little more quickly
· Photo sensitizing antibiotics eg: Doxy Cycline and high doses of anti-inflammatory medicine or topical medical creams you cannot be treated until 6 months after you have ceased usage of these drugs. Some antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs interact with the tattooing adversely.
Please inform us well BEFORE your treatment date if any of the above refer to you, as they can affect your tattoo treatment.
· Iron deficient or anemia – should be advised that increased bleeding may occur during the procedure as well as a faster fade of the pigment over time.
· Moles, bumps and any raised skin will also be unable to retain the pigment.
· Unfortunately, cosmetic tattooing is not for you if you’re prone to keloid scarring.
· Trichotillomania can cause scar tissue in the skin to be prominent, which does not allow the colour to heal properly.
· If you have haemophilia or a heart condition it is absolutely not recommended that you get any form of permanent make up done as this puts you in a high-risk position.
· If you’re undergoing chemotherapy you will have to wait until your treatment is finished and your health returns the normal. Please get doctors’ clearance before procedure.
· Diabetics are not good candidates either. Diabetic clients who are insulin dependent often do not heal as well and may be at a heightened risk for infection.
· Glaucoma - The use of glaucoma eye drops makes eyelash follicles and eyelids hypersensitive, causing excessive bleeding and poor colour retention. Therefore, eyeliner tattooing is not an option.
· Accutane/Retin-A - The procedure cannot be performed whilst on Accutane. If you have been taking acne medications such as Accutane or Retin-A within the last year you have an altered skin condition that will not heal well after the procedure. Retinol and Vitamin A are very similar and should be discontinued as well. It’s very important that you wait 6 months before tattooing the skin.
· Autoimmune disease or chronic illness. ... When there is a disease process that's not under control, it is probably not the best time to consider cosmetic tattooing.
* Do you have allergies to Aloe Vera leaf extract, glycolic acid, and hydroxyethyl cellulose. (you are NOT suitable for Pigment Removal procedure)
Please inform us well BEFORE your treatment date if any of the above refer to you, as your appointment may need to be cancelled.
How will I look immediately after? What is the healing process? In the first few days following the procedure, pigment will appear dark and intense. Redness and swelling are rare but might happen, a cold compress can be used.
During the healing process, the pigment will gradually appear lighter in the first few weeks.
How long will it last?
Most people can get three to five years of definition out of the treatment, depending on their skin type and skin care ingredients.
Other elements that can cause results to vary from person to person include health and lifestyle factors, such as smoking, sun exposure, swimming in chlorinated pools, iron deficiency, oiliness and exfoliation, all of which could speed up the fading process.
How painful is it?
Appropriate numbing measures are taken. There is slight discomfort, we are not implanting the pigment at a level that there should be strong pain. More uncomforting is the idea that I'm so close with a needle when doing eyeliner. Because of the technique that is utilised clients eyes are closed the entire time.
